PowerDNS Solution

PowerDNS or PDNS is an authorized open-source DNS server software that works as an alternative solution to conventional BIND DNS and provides name resolution for all corporations in the world.

PowerDNS presents both authoritative and recursive DNS server software as two different solutions. These two solutions can be used separately or in combination, making them scalable for companies of all sizes. PowerDNS ensures high performance and requires minimum memory capacity. It also can work with many supportive back-end systems like simple zone, complex database installations and various SQL platforms like Mysql and MariaDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL.

PowerDNS uses the independent software package PowerDNS Recursor (pdns_recursor) as a DNS server resolution program. By default, PowerDNS uses caching feature to identify similar requests and then returns replies to related requests.
